WEEK 7 TERM 3

A SHOUT OUT TO ALL DADS TODAY!

We have our Nativity of Mary Mass on Friday at 9:000am.
All welcome..our new families will be welcomed at this Mass also.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT THE NATIVITY OF MARY

There are only three people whose birthdays have traditionally been celebrated by Christians. Jesus Christ, at Christmas; Saint John the Baptist; and the Blessed Virgin Mary. And we celebrate all three birthdays for the same reason: All three were born without Original Sin. Christ, because He was conceived by the Holy Spirit; Mary, because she was kept free from the stain of Original Sin by the action of God in His foreknowledge that she would agree to be the mother of Christ; and Saint John, because he was blessed in the womb by the presence of his Savior when Mary, pregnant with Jesus, came to aid her cousin Elizabeth in the final months of Elizabeth's pregnancy.

SO THERE YOU GO....IT'S IMPORTANT STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE REASON WHY WE CELEBRATE THE FEASTS WE DO.
WE WILL EXPLORE THIS FEAST DAY MORE THIS WEEK IN CLASS.

There are some bugs going around so please keep your child home if they are sick.

Home reading -please keep your child reading if they are on this programme and remind them to return books on Friday so a new one can be issued.

Thank you for getting your child to class on time. There is always a lot happening in a typical school day. By term 3 we expect all students to get ready for the morning day activities independently, so you could remind them to have their chrome books and maths books ready first thing, and be checking to see what rotation they begin with in maths.

Ruma Weta recently had maths observations by an independent advisor. She was impressed with how we rotate groups and what resources we are using in numeracy time. We use a range of text book, digital, board games, wild card activities, and maths whizz and also two teachers working with groups at any one time.

Great work..the results of our students in Maths has been enormous this year so far!!
